We are proud to announce that GEL Proximity has won the special ‘Enterprise and Value’ award promoted by the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce.
An award aimed at responsible companies that in recent years have distinguished themselves for their social responsibility actions and commitment to developing cohesion initiatives with the territory and the communities to which they belong in a moment, the post-pandemic one, in which the great transformation processes taking place globally have been accelerated and exacerbated, paving the way for new development models in which the social dimension of doing business assumes a significant role. The current challenge for companies is therefore to combine economic value with caring for the community and the territorial context in which they operate, in order to achieve responsible conduct that is coherent and harmonious in terms of production and organisational processes and at the same time attentive to social and environmental impact.
In fact, the GEL Proximity technology proposes a new concept of omnichannel logistics, which consists in offering an aggregated solution of all the city networks managed by the main logistics operators. The project aims to reposition the consumer at the centre of the logistics process, to redevelop physical proximity points (newsagents, tobacconists, shops) that can also enable this innovative service to improve their own profitability, both thanks to the proceeds of the service itself and thanks to the ‘footfall’ generated on possible new customers, and, finally, to enhance urban assets and spaces to foster social innovation and the collaborative economy.
Six companies received awards on Sunday 2 October during the ‘Ambrogino delle Imprese’ award ceremony, the ‘Enterprise and Work’ prize, held at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
In addition to GEL Proximity, also receiving the special award were: Borio Mangiarotti SpA (Milan), Famiglia Nuova società cooperativa Onlus (Lodi), Fontana SpA (Veduggio con Colzano, Monza and Brianza), Open Stage srl (Pioltello, Milan) and Welcomed – Medici in famiglia srl (Milan).
